About James
James Wehn is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Art History at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. His studies have emphasized northern European art and architecture from the fifteenth through the nineteenth centuries, with a particular focus on prints and drawings. James has also studied sixth and fifth-century Athenian vase painting and the history of photography.
James aspires to teach Art History and also work as a collection curator. Since 2008, he has been working as an assistant curator with the Thrivent Financial Collection of Religious Art, an important collection of prints and drawings with a strength in old master works including many by Albrecht Dürer and Rembrandt van Rijn. At Thrivent, James has been fortunate to have the opportunity to co-curate three exhibitions with the collection’s curator, Joanna Reiling Lindell.
